You watched her across from you in her group of friends. She laughed and her eyes scrunched up as they always did when she laughed. But you felt a sadness ripple through your stiff body. You yearned to feel such happiness as she did, but you couldn’t quite attain it. She had helped you so much, you should be healed by now. But you weren’t, and you felt guilty that you weren’t because you no longer wanted to burden her with your tumultuous problems. She had always stood by your side, but to force her to work more for your recovery was a devastating thought, although she urged you that she was always by your side.
She wore a deep twinkling blue, a cavernous night sky, and you were just a crumbling planet in her atmosphere, revolving desperately around her, clinging on.
Your eyes wandered around the room anxiously, but always centered on her. She was the center of your universe and you depended on her.
