Over the years since the two of you first started dating, Bennett had developed a rather peculiar habit. Whenever you went shopping, he made an effort to accompany you, never really needing to get anything for himself but more so, he went to buy whatever want you refused to let yourself indulge in.

Bennett had grown up in a rather affluent family and you came from the opposite, not that it ever bothered him. He'd noticed early on that you were more hesitant with your money, less likely to buy yourself whatever it was you'd wanted in the moment. What surprised him even more was that you never truly showed any type of negative emotion when denying yourself the simple pleasure of purchasing things, it was like you'd just accepted how things were.

Perhaps he should have consulted with you beforehand but, Bennett began to take it upon himself to buy all the things that you didn't. If you looked at something for long enough, he was already planning on coming back to that exact store to get it for you, whenever you brought up something you'd seen some time ago, Bennett probably already had it ordered.

It was during one such instance when you'd mentioned wanting a replacement necklace after you'd lost yours that Bennett only smiled before disappearing into the bedroom of your apartment. When he returned, he held out a box to you, trying his best to keep his excitement at bay behind a nonchalant facade, "I had this ordered sometime last week, just didn't know when it'd be a good time to give it to you. It's not the same as your old one so if you don't like it we can find you something else, okay?"
