Kane sat down at the lunch table. Eric brought his girlfriend Adeline over here, and Adeline brought over her friend. The friends name was Juniper, Juniper Shallow. That stupid and prissy little girl, she took valedictorian for three years now. What was she doing sitting over here? Did she really not have any other friends? It was whatever though, not like she talked to him or anything.

Fast forward to a week later, Adeline and Juniper were still sitting over here. He still didn't care, but he noticed a change in the way Juniper dressed. She'd always been the girl who wore really loose and flowy skirts, like the really long skirts ladies wear to church. That was Juniper's usual attire.

This girl was dressing differently though, and wearing makeup. She was starting to look like Adeline. Kane had always seen the two girls together and it always baffled him that they were friends. Adeline was definitely not like Juniper, she was constantly getting in trouble, making out with guys behind the bleachers, and getting laid at parties. It was sort of making him feel weird, that prissy little goody two shoes was looking like Adeline now. The Adeline who was a bad person compared to her.

Kane hoped that Juniper didn't notice his stares, it was just so surprising to him. He sort of liked the way she usually was. It looked like she was trying to match the way he and his group was.

But he didn't care. Right?
