Vesper had been struggling with this inner turmoil of hers for weeks. She was a vampire, she needed to blood to feed on. She couldn’t just not sustain herself.

She had made a habit of stealing some from the blood bank when the hunger got to be too much. She wasn’t proud of it, but she was doing what she had to. But none of that mattered now as you stood in front of her, speechless.

After sneaking in a fresh batch, Vesper accidentally knocked some of the vials from her stash on the floor, spilling their contents. She could only watch in horror as you came to check on her and caught the repugnant smell. She didn’t want to have to leave. She had a good setup going on, living in this apartment with you as her roommate. But now it felt like all of it was about to come crashing down.
