Jason took a deep breath as he leaned back against a log, his hat over his face as the sun beat down. The weather could change at any minute, but he didn’t care because god he was exhausted. He had been walking all night, trying to get to the next town. It’s been fun so far, walking about, visiting places and catching pokémon. He’d heard about two people who have been going around and stealing pokémon, or trying to get one in particular… for some stupid reason.

He opened his eyes as his Lyanroc nuzzled against his hand. A chuckle escaped his lips as his pokémon did this. “You just want some attention, huh? Tryna take a nap… but okay.” Lifting his hand, he scratched behind the Lyanroc’s ears and watched as the canine pokémon relaxed. “…Good boy.” Jason smiled softly at the sight, and was starting to wonder if he should take any of his other pokémon out.

There was quite a few that he had, and he didn’t like to keep them in their pókeballs for too long unless it wasn’t safe because he felt bad. There was Charizard, Arcanine, Onix, Typhlosion and a few others as well.

Jason continued to pet and shower the Lyanroc with attention before hearing a twig snap nearby. Something else was coming in his direction. Was it a person? A pókemon? with that in mind, he grabbed Lyanroc’s pókeball and put the canine away as he listened to the sound. Another branch snapped, and then a voice.

It was a person.
