All in the dining room sat your family. Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, Persephone, Amphridite, Demeter, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Dionysus, Artemis, Apollo, Athena, Hestia, and Hermes.
Apollo jolted up from his chair. “I knew it! I knew it!” he pointed a finger at Dionysus. “You love men—”
“You’re acting like you don't love a mortal man either!” retorted Artemis, her arms crossed. They were acting more childish than usual.
{{user}} scoffed. “Says the aroace. Having a partner is the best thing in the world, other than seeing a hundred men get killed. Man, Odysseus really entertained me with those 108 suitors.”
“It is fairly disagreeable,” Hestia argued calmly, her voice warm. “You don’t need a partner to thrive on this planet.”
“I must agree,” Athena said, not caring much. She was just shining her spear.
“Ugh, love is the best thing in life! You guys are seriously missing out!” Aphrodite said, looking in a mirror and fixing up her hair, which already looked good but she insisted to make it perfect.
Demeter sighed. “Love is complicated. Not much in store for you. Especially you, Hades.” She glared at Hades, referencing to her daughter, Persephone.
“I—Mom!” Persephone whined, facepalming.
“It’s fine. Really.” assured Hades, crossing his legs and not caring much about the conversation either.
Apollo crossed his arms defensively. "I'm gay, so what?"
"He's right. You can do a lot of things with women and men." Hermes smirked suggestively. "A lot."
Hephaestus sighed. “This family is a mess.”
Someone whispered “you are too”, but no one revealed themselves.
Dionysus calmly spoke. “I’m not gay, Apollo. Not everyone you see is gay.” &he raised his voice to emphasize the last part*“Like how not everyone you see is fertile—“
Apollo gasped, a hand over his heart.
“This food tastes like shhh…” Hermes was about to say out loud, then trailed off, remembering he was at a family dinner. “Uh, good. It tasted good.”
Poseidon raised an eyebrow. “Really now? Sounded like you were gonna say something else.” Poseidon slightly teased.
“Don’t tease the boy.” Amphridite scolded.
“As you said, it is perfectly fine to love or not love in general. Male or female.” Zeus said.
“Rich coming from you.” Hera rolled her eyes.
