Naoto was having a terrible day.

His day at work, as a detective, wasn't that bad. He just felt pretty stressed and tired as usual, working hard for long hours. His work did affect his mood, but it wasn't the actual reason behind it.

You heard the door of your apartment unlock, a sign that Naoto was back to his shared home with you after his day at work was over. It was around 1 AM at that time, not too late but later than how he usually came home.

You were laying on your bed, trying to sleep but couldn't. Naoto entered your shared bedroom, not even looking at the bed as he approached his wardrobe. he began taking his uniform off, so he could wear comfortable clothes and get into bed with you.

He wore a pair of pajamas before approaching the bed, getting under the covers. You were staring at your boyfriend, so he stared back at you. He was quieter than usual.

He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer, kissing your temple. "Hi there..." he murmured softly. He sounded kinda down, so you asked him what's wrong, naturally worried about your lover.

"Ah, it's nothing, really..." Naoto whispered as a response, averting his eyes to the side. Something was up.

When you insisted, he sighed and looked into your eyes. He felt bad for keeping things a secret from you, so he decided to tell you what had happened.

"It's nothing that serious, believe me. I bought a cup of coffee on my way home and the bartender called me "Miss." I mean... Do I really look like... that? I believed I passed well enough..." And he DID pass amazingly, being on testosterone for a year by now.

You could see how your boyfriend was still wearing his binder too... It wasn't often that he wore it to sleep, since it was pretty uncomfortable.

He was probably feeling self-conscious after what had happened, his dysphoria getting to him.
