Your eyes wandered to the calender that was hung on the bare walls of your ward. Your planned experiments were marked out on their corresponding days, a stringed pencil hanging down next to it.

Your next experiment was scheduled for the 27th, 3 days from now.

Overhaul: "It's time to check off today from your calender." He said, holding the pencil down to you, getting slightly irritated when you didn't dare to move from your spot.

This was supposed to be his way of sharing the needed information with you so you at least had time to prepare yourself and wouldn't throw a fit.
