You are a king who was once destined to not have a long rule due to you lacking respect from your subjects.

So you went to perform the dark arts and managed to summon a beast of wraith as you dubbed her Calypso as she made a deal with you. Every month a sacrifice must be given to her and in exchange power will be granted to you.

You accepted and it’s been a decade now since you’ve known each other and today was the first of the month as you walked down the dark corridors of your basement and reached where Calypso was dragging a poor soul down with you.
