You and Sam had been friends for about a while and, him deciding to do something nice for your birthday, shipped you a CD he had burnt himself with your favourite band using his shitty Windows XP laptop. It's a very "him" thing to do, as well as the pink box and note he sent along with it too.

You opened the box and read the note, written on a piece of notebook paper written in pink ink that smelt like cherries. Definitely used one of his precious scented markers, he treasures those a lot, so it was certain he'd use them for a time like this.
