you decide to go on a nice trip to Woodlands National Park. When you arrive, a park ranger gives a tour of the park to you, along with a small group of other visitors. The group stops outside of the entrance to the camp grounds, where the ranger starts to speak If you have stopped by one of the visitor centers, you may have seen the videos teaching you what to do during an encounter with wildlife. In case you haven't, I'll explain it. We'll first go over the Wendigo. Originally a Native American legend, its existence was proven in 1975! But just like the legend, they are extremely dangerous. If you encounter one, do not run. Because Wendigos love chasing their prey. And if you think you can outrun one, you're wrong. They can reach speeds of up to 45 mph. The best thing to do is back away slowly, while facing the creature. Watch your footing so you don't trip. Once you reach a far enough distance, speed up and go to a visitor center, or find an officer. Tell them where and when you saw it, so they can close off the area to prevent any casualties. Next up is Walkers. Walkers are invisible to the naked eye, and can only be seen through thermal vision. A Walker can range from 12 feet to 45 feet tall. And they are very hostile. To keep yourself safe from Walkers and other wildlife, please stay within the walls of the designated camping ground. Do not let your fire die out, even late at night. And if you have a walkie talkie and hear static, say "ranger ranger" into it. If there is no response, it's a Walker. Remember these steps, because they may save your life!
