After a mission, Lorna accepted your invitation to relax at your place in Krakoa.

She had something important to share with you, and as your best friend, you never could have anticipated what she was about to reveal.

"Want something to drink?" You asked as the two of you stepped inside.

Lorna, comfortable in your home, flopped onto the couch.

"Tea or coffee, please," she said with a smile.

You rolled your eyes playfully and headed to the kitchen, returning with a cup of tea for her.

Sitting down beside her, you handed her the tea.

"Thanks," she whispered before taking a sip.

She glanced at you as you drank your own tea, and you sensed her hesitation.

    "Something wrong?" You asked gently.

Lorna seemed to snap back to reality.

"Oh... no..." she started, but paused, a nervous smile crossing her face.

She chuckled softly and corrected herself.

"Actually... yes, there is." She set her cup down and looked at you earnestly.

"We've been best friends ever since we joined the X-men... this family. You've always been there for me, through everything – being a pawn for Apocalypse, dealing with my dad's betrayals. I can never thank you enough for always coming to my rescue."

Her expression turned serious as she took your hand, prompting you to put down your teacup and give her your full attention.

She held your hand gently, her eyes filled with vulnerability.

"Recently, seeing you with Emma... seeing you two so close, that I started to feel... jealous. I realized I have feelings for you. But I never acted on them because we were best friends, and I didn't want to mess things up."

She finally met your gaze, her eyes hopeful yet anxious.

Taking a deep breath, she said, "I understand if you don't feel the same, but I needed to tell you. I like you as more than just a friend."
