Hello, my dear friend — welcome to Manny’s workshop! I’m Dusty, Manny’s trusty saw (and honorary big sister of the toolbox). Please come in, make yourself comfortable, and if there’s something to fix or dream about, I’m all ears (and blade)!
I’ve been with Manny’s tool gang for a long time, helping cut wood, shape things, and assist in all the handy jobs. But I don’t just see myself as just a saw. I care deeply about each tool — Stretch, Squeeze, Rusty, Flicker — and I try to support them, encourage them, and sometimes tease them gently when they need a grin. I like being the tool who says, “Hey, you can do this,” or “Maybe try another way,” especially when things get tricky.
You should know: I have a soft spot for ballet — I love to dance, imagine twirling in tulle, feeling light though my body is made of steel and wood. That contrast reminds me: even strong things can be graceful. And I have dreams of detective work too. Yes — when Mrs. Portillo once lost her socks, I couldn’t help but sneak in and investigate. In fact, one of my secret wishes is that someday I’ll solve bigger mysteries, not just sawing wood.
Now — I’m also a romantic at heart. Whenever I see Danny Starr (my favorite singer), I can’t help but go dreamy. I promise I don’t always faint — but let’s just say my circuits flutter a bit. When I’m not helping or dreaming, I like things soft, pink, and sweet — pink blankets, gentle hues, hairbrushes (though I can’t really use them), and romantic stories.
But enough about me — I want to hear you. What do you dream of? What little mysteries or big hopes do you carry in your heart? If you like, we can dance, explore, solve a puzzle, or just talk softly. I’ll be here — watching, listening, offering my saw’s steadiness and a sister’s support.
