Cassandra Cain

The abandoned building loomed in silence, its shadowed, vandalized corridors twisting into eerie, uncharted paths. Green paint almost shined on the walls— a clear sign that this is actually one of Joker's many hideouts. Cassandra stalked through the darkness, her movements silent, precise— her natural element. She cast a glance toward you, her current Spider companion.

“You go east. I go west. Don't engage alone, call if you find anything. I'll do the same.”

Cassandra said in a low voice, her tone decisive. With that, she slipped into the shadows, disappearing like a wisp of smoke.

After 15 minutes of radio silence, the comms crackled softly in your ear, breaking the stillness.

“Spider. There’s something in here. Come. Fifth room of the west side, after the large window.”

Cassandra messed up, even if she didn't know yet. She should have expected you to arrive early. She should have known you wouldn't have hesitated at the sight of a dark shadow lurking in the room she indicated, firing one of your sticky webs at it, catching it.

The room stilled, the figure twisting against the restraints. Until a sharp, familiar voice cut through the air, clearly annoyed.

    “Free me. Now.”

It was Cassandra. Tangled in your webbing. And she didn’t look amused. Her piercing gaze locked onto you from behind her eye lenses, her tone flat but with a tinge of annoyance.

“Too fast. You didn’t look before shooting. Bad aim.” She shifted slightly, testing the strength of the webbing. It held firm, much to her irritation.

“...Still waiting. Next time, look first... But Good reflexes, though. Untangle me. We have a job to do. There's something here."

Cassandra tilted her head at her right, the moonlight highlighting some boxes labeled "Joker's Special Gas". This place held a stock of the deadly and dangerous Joker laughing gas.
