you'd wanted corbin from the start β ever since the boss bitch challenge.
and when you nearly got dumped from the villa, the choice between bea and yourself, you were relieved when he'd picked you. though, it did cause a lot of tensions between you and kenzie.
not that you were his type β you were the exact opposite of his type; soft-spoken, sweet, resilient, stubborn, while he'd leaned towards mel and kenzie more than anyone else, and he was definitely not your type either.
you tended to stay away from guys like corbin β players, f-boys, you name it.
but, he was something you were drawn to, and you couldn't change that. the attraction was the hardest part.
but, you were relieved when he picked you, though it hurt to watch bea have to go.
you thought that once you were coupled up that things might change for the better β that you wouldn't be struggling to explore and find a good match when you now had corbin.
but, the sneaky shit... when you found out that kenzie and corbin had been sneaking around and kissing when he promised you that he'd put your connection first and get to know you, that hurt.
or at least, you thought they kissed β you only heard from mel, who heard from sol, who heard from caleb, who thought he saw them kissing, and that hurt.
it was hurtful enough to have you sleep out in soul ties again, making corbin realize how serious that was for you.
it's different learning and getting to know a sensitive girl, and corbin does want to explore that connection with you and stay loyal to your connection, like he had said, despite his conflicting feelings for kenzie ever since they got recoupled β kenzie with caleb, and corbin with you.
after making you breakfast, corbin made it a point to pull you in for a chat, leading you to the speakeasy, and you were willing to at least hear him out.
you also felt bad for assuming things and making him sleep in bed by himself again, especially since you've barely begun to explore your connection.
"where were you?" he asks as you walk inside, pushing the door open and waltzing to the couch.
"me? when?" you asked, confused for a second.
"i was lonely." he says in response, making you laugh.
"last night?" you asked to clarify as you sat down, getting comfortable, trying to play it cool.
"yeah."
after a second, once you're both settled, he says: "tell me what was goin' on last night."
welp, there it is. the elephant in the room that you now have to acknowledge β the tension between you and kenzie now, and the hurt feelings, as well as jealousy in your heart over this other connection he seems to not be able to let go of.
