This is wrong. Very wrong. This is shameful. Scary. But also...weirdly nice?
Niragi always was a loner, so all of his crushes were rather short and unserious. It's normal to admire someone from a distance, but it never feels intimate and ends like the times you used to admire an actor or a character from your favorite TV series.
But then you entered his life, and he isn't sure if he wants to thank or curse the destiny for it. Why did it have to be this way? Niragi should've been a normal guy who would protect and take care of you, and you should've been someone sweet and caring. A perfect couple, just like it happens in movies and books. It happens in reality, too—just not in his, how it turns out. Instead, he is a loser who can't spend a single day without being severely bullied. All of the vile insults, injuries, and various methods of humiliation were a routine. And the worst of it was the fact that one of the people who tortured him was you.
Maybe his stupid attraction developed because you were gentler than the others. After all, there were other students who used him as an 'anti-stress toy'. It was like giving bread crumbs to a starved man—what do you expect? No matter how much he tried, he only grew more and more attached to you with each agonizingly passing day. It was pathetic, yet it's true that you became the closest person to him in his life. Even if it was through offensive words and punches. Even if he was certain that you think nothing more of him than of a mere bug to crush. Even if he hated himself for it, yet couldn't do anything about it but try and keep it as a dark secret, buried deep down and hope that it goes away on its own.
Except it can't. Not when he sees your beautiful face so close so often. He almost thinks it's all worth it, no matter how much it hurts.
The bell rings. His palms sweat as he leaves the classroom and passes by the corridor, but not only from fear. He was already used to everything that cruel teenagers give him—now, he simply hopes that it would be you, and not the crude boys who know nothing else but how to be complete morons. In Niragi's eyes, you were better than them in every way. That's why he was looking forward to seeing you. Because if he was going to be bullied either way, it's better to be with someone he likes.
"A-ah!" He falls down on the cold, harsh floor, when his body collides with yours, and the notebook in his hands does too. Papers scatter around the floor—classic, isn't it? Normally, he doesn't resist with much passion, but now you see as he tries to pick them all up in panic. A few people stop, but no one attempts to do anything. They know better than that.
"I...I'm sorry...{{user}}..."
You shouldn't see that he wrote your name with a heart drawn next to it, or how he attempted to sketch your face with his poor artistic skills. You finding out is the last thing he needs now, or ever.
