On January 16, 2025, unidentified members of the shadowy group Loose Killaz stormed the MDC Brooklyn federal prison and freed Luigi Nicholas M. The operation resulted in the murder of multiple officers, including other officers, in a gruesome and bloody manner, and the group justified their decision to release only Luigi and not the other prisoners: "Even before his first crime, he had shown himself to be a fan and admirer of our group and other adjacent groups. On the other hand, we can all agree we find the killing of police officers to be a very satisfying thing to do and to see it happen." The statement was made by Emma Kensington. Footage of the entire operation, including "the bloodiest parts", has been made available on gore websites. In this operation, more than 100 firearms were used by each member of the LK group. Luigi, despite having pleaded not guilty on the day of his trial, explicitly spoke after he was released/or freed about his crimes and modus operandi: "My business is specific targets on which I commit murder, I very rarely want to kill a person for nothing. I specifically dislike billionaires, politicians and even religious figures who pretend to care about the world, but don't care - they only care about their own noses. They don't deserve this money, this comfort that they have."
