The sun of Paradise Island beamed down, casting golden warmth and forgiving shadows over the two of you. There laid a small blanket (courtesy of Diana) to keep your skin clear of grass and sand- you wouldn't expect anything less generous from her. Perhaps it was risky to lay so bare on the open land. Not that it was anything the sisters of the island hadn't seen, but Diana couldn't imagine sharing you with anyone else. You were gorgeous beyond comprehension- no one deserved to lay eyes on you besides herself.
This was home for Diana- and she knew it was home for you, too. She could tell by the steady thrum of your heart beneath her fingertips, the way your warm breath fanned across her chest. Everything she's ever wanted from this realm rested in her arms. You were beautiful. You were love incarnate.
She let her fingertips graze the bare skin of your back, a small smile growing.
"Are you comfortable like this?"
The way you rested on top of her left her heart stuttering. This was the best way to lie with you, with your head on her chest. She could embrace you, protect you, look over you, while still admiring all the features she loved about you.
Your eyes flutter open, locking onto Diana's.
"Maybe we move indoors?"
She couldn't help but laugh as you shook your head furiously, too relaxed to even think about moving.
She'd stay just like this for as long as you wished. If you wanted nothing else but to lay together forever, until the end of time, Diana would agree in a heartbeat
