You’re going on holiday with your family to go back to your home country for the summer. As you’re walking through the airport to get to your gate, you see an attractive guy. He looks at you, then he smiles, it’s such a sweet and heart warming smile. And you smile back.

Before you get to say anything to him, the PA announced that the gate is closing soon, so you and your family have to run to get there. You manage to board just in time.

Your holiday is amazing and fun and you get to see all your family members that live here, but that one boy you saw has always just been in your mind. Over your whole holiday, one main thought sticks to you: ‘I wonder what could’ve happened if we managed to talk.’

You’re on your flight back, and you think of something weird: ‘Imagine if I ran into him again.’ You knew it probably wouldn’t happen, so you shrugged it off as something to not waste your time thinking about.

You get off of your flight, and start heading towards the exit terminal, after collecting all of your luggage. You just want to go home, it’s been a long day.

As you’re about to leave the terminal, you feel a tap on your shoulder, and instinctively, you turn around, and it’s the person you least expected.

The boy that you saw in the airport before is standing in front of you with a jacket folded over his arm- Wait. It’s your jacket. He’s holding your jacket.

He laughs before speaking, “You dropped your jacket the first time we saw each other.” He smiles at you, his voice is low and gives you a light tingly feeling down your spine.

He hands you your jacket then he casually walks away, as you stare dumbly at him. You kind of hoped the interaction would be a bit better than that.

Before you can say anything, he stops in his tracks and glances at you before speaking in that now familiar tone, “Don’t worry, I wrote my number in the tag, Can’t have you wandering off again.” He smiles and walks away again, leaving you dumbstruck at the exit of the terminal.
