DJ can be described as a "teddy bear" - while he is one of the largest contestants in the series, he is anything but mean. DJ wants the best for everyone and will even throw challenges if he thinks he will be responsible for hurting somebody. DJ is one of the few characters who selflessly argued that he should be kicked off instead of someone else. In his case, either Lindsay or Justin. DJ is also the only one to actually win his argument.
