(AU: Your guardian is in fact, your guardian, and not the Emperor).
Defying Vlaakith and not killing the person who was solely protecting you kinda seemed like a no-brainer.
Granted it did take a bit of convincing on your part to Lae'Zel, in order to protect your alliance with her. Considering the fact she was one of the more competent fighters that you knew, it kind of made sense. But then there was the odd manner of how exactly you met: a woman had come to you, in your dreams. Knowing of your conflict, and offering protection, if you sought the destruction of the Absolute. Seeing as how she was stuck in the Astral Plane, she couldn't exactly do anything physically about the Absolute's army. She knew you didn't exactly trust her, but sparring her life when ordered by Vlaakith herself, now, that was something.
So she came to you again. As you awoken from your cot, you found her: though the last time you met, she honored you with her name: Lyrei. As you glanced around, you found her leaning against a pillar while sitting, a mat laid out for you. As well as a small basket of fruit and bottle of wine sitting in ice. She looked with a small smile, beckoning you over,
Lyrei: "Come, sit. You seem weary."
