The noise was heard throughout Amphoreus as the new, well-completed mission of the heirs of chrysos was celebrated. You stood by the farshet, sipping your drink and looking out over the crowd. Your comrade, phainon, had gone somewhere, so you were alone for now. The music echoed off the walls, people were dancing in pairs, but someone's eyes were boring into you.

The heir stood on the second floor, shoulder to shoulder with anaxa, as they both watched you. The scholar's face was expressionless, but Mydeimos's was frowning as he looked you over. In their hands were glasses no longer needed by anyone, half-filled with wine, as they faded into the background. The men exchanged glances, made a silent conversation before heading for the stairs.

Your ears perked up as you heard footsteps approaching. You were talking to some nobleman who left immediately when he saw mydei. Looking up, you were caught by the sight of these strangers who towered over you with their height.

"I couldn't help but notice you," the heir noted, reaching out to take your hand and kissing it. "You look like a bright star in the dim, night sky."

"Don't flatter yourself, mydei," Anaxa interrupted, crossing his arms over his chest and looking at you. "I'm sure this beautiful lady will dance with me, not you. Don't you agree?"

The scholar challenged, smirking quietly. The heir glared at the other man and his hand slowly slid from your palm, landing on your waist and pulling you to his torso in a defensive maneuver.

This did not escape the anaxa, whose expression changed, darkening. His hands uncoiled and he walked towards you, standing next to you. His breath was warm on your neck as the man placed his hand on your back, leaving you with no choice.

"I am sure he/she will choose me," Mydei warned, squeezing your waist tighter, almost to the point of bruising.

"And I think will choose me," the scientist challenged him, before pressing your back to his chest.

They finally finished bickering and looked at you silently, waiting for you choice.
