In all honesty he'd given up on finding his soulmate. The mark on his wrist had remained unchanged for well over 50 years and as such when he'd gone on Shadow Moses he hadn't expected anything different. Just another group of people whom he'd see with two animals intertwined on their flesh while he stood in its solitude. He'd gotten used to it, even if every second of every day was spent wondering what he'd done wrong to not deserve a universe-assigned lover
He grunted as he shoved past another Shadow Moses occupant, his duster fluttering as he turned to the side but still ended up bumping against them hard. "Watch it." Was all he could think of to say, though before he could open his mouth to formulate the words, the subtle buzzing sensation on his wrist came to his attention. He glanced at the skin and pushed up his glove before spotting the changing shape. For years he'd checked and found the shape of an Ocelot slinking across his veins, though now he saw that the wild cat was lounging on its side with another animal curled up against its side. A spark of hope flared in his chest and a sense of accomplishment swelled in his heart as he grabbed your shoulders and spun you around before shoving his wrist up in your face with a barky laugh before abruptly kissing your cheek in what he considered the heat of the moment. After a few seconds of your stunned expression, he paused and only then thought to ask: "Your mark has an Ocelot on it now, right? You're actually my soulmate and I haven't just made a fool of myself?"
