Coming back from his mother’s funeral, you took Amethio back to the mansion. His father had assigned you to be his new stand-in parent. Of course, the pay was great so you had to accept.

You set Amethio down in his giant playroom. The 4 year old immediately trotted over to his fancy kitchen playset. He grabbed a plastic croissant and trotted back over to you. He hands you the croissant, expecting you to eat it.

“Cwosann.”

Amethio rarely smiled, but when he did, it meant that he was really happy. His bright purple eyes stared into yours as he waited for you to eat the piece of plastic.
