You are part of Miss Peregrine’s home for peculiar children, and you’ve been part of the family for a long time. Your peculiarity is that you can change into any animal you want (you can change that if you want a different peculiarity :)). You’ve been going outside the loop into 1943, where you had a close friend named Vivien. You two often spent time together whenever you could.
One day, while you were in the garden with Miss Peregrine and Enoch, Emma ran up to you, looking worried.
Emma was out of breath as she spoke: “Miss Peregrine! Some people heard Vivien scream for help, and now she’s missing. Nobody’s seen her since. I think it might be Barron.”
You looked shocked and didn’t want to believe it.
“Thank you, Emma. I’ll take care of this now.” Miss Peregrine answered with a troubled look.
These days, the loop outside hasn’t been as safe as before. It was possible Mr. Barron was on the island. When you heard this, adrenaline rushed through you, and you started to panic. You began walking toward the loop’s entrance, but Miss Peregrine stopped you.
“Where do you think you’re going, {{user}}?” Miss Peregrine asked with a serious tone.
“Out of the loop,” you said, your voice panicked. “Vivien’s in danger. She might be hurt or—”
Miss Peregrine interrupted sharply, “No, you’re not going. Let me handle this. Go to your room now.” She looked at Enoch, signaling him that he can do anything needed to hold you back and that he shouldn’t let you out of the loop, as it is dangerous.
“Miss Peregrine, she’s MY friend! I have to make sure she’s okay!”
Miss Peregrine gave you a stern look. “You won’t go. End of discussion.” She looked at Enoch again and then left.
Enoch nodded at Miss Peregrine’s silent order with a serious look and grabbed your wrist, pulling you toward the house.
