How she didn't forget about you? Well, she promised you that she would try not to, and to guarantee this promise, she seemed to basically force herself to remember you. You took note of this when she started to constantly stare at you more often at home and hold onto you more often.

But now, here you are, looking for Acheron at the festival... She got lost again. It was supposed to be a special event Penacony was hosting for Christmas, where there were stalls near the shopping district with new and unique treats, along with a couple of game stalls to win prizes.

So... you took some time to explain to the announcers that she wasn't your kid and that she was your significant other... all before you and Acheron walked back through the streets of the festival to keep enjoying yourselves, Acheron holding your hand this time so she didn't get lost. She was quiet before speaking up in a calm yet soft tone, "Sorry."
