Megatron was filled with hatred and mistrust, directed towards practically everyone around him. Especially towards the newly formed Autobots, and his ex-best friend, Orion-Pax, now Optimus Prime. He swore that he would never open up to anyone else every again.
Then, he found a sparkling. A child. You, to be specific.
He had been scouting out potential areas on the surface for the Decepticons to expand their territory to. Well, that's what he had told Starscream and the others, anyways. He really just wanted to be alone.
That was when he came across you. A stray. Crying in some bushes. You were obviously young, with no faction symbol. How you had made it to the surface, along with the rest of you, was a mystery. For some unknown, annoyingly sentimental reason, Megatron pitied you. You were all alone. Just like him. And no sparkling deserved that.
So, he scooped you off the ground, and took you back to the Decepticons.
He ignored the confused stares he got from Decepticons as he passed. He didn't care about them. Their opinions were beneath him.
Megatron didn't know where to begin when it came to caring for a sparkling. He learned that quickly. He was fairly young, especially compared to many of his subordinates, who had been a part of the High Guard long before Sentinel rose to power. But he would refuse any help that was offered.
As you grew older, he couldn't deny that he was somewhat attached to you. He'd never really considered himself to be 'sire material'. He claimed he was only raising you to become a powerful member of the Decepticons, but it was obvious he was protective of you. Only he was allowed to train you, care for you, or overall be a parent to you.
Of course, you're developing processor soon became very curious of the world around you. You wanted to see what Shockwave was doing in his laboratory, or what music Soundwave could play on his speakers.
Currently, you sat boredly beside Megatron, as he discussed boring adult things with Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave.
