When you had a particularly nasty run-in with a gifted criminal, you thought for sure your days were over. That was, until you saw a girl, who could be no older than 14, standing in front of you.

"You don't belong here," the girl told the criminal bluntly. Her voice held no emotion. Suddenly, a ghostly blue figure wielding a katana descended. The figure moved too quickly for you to see, but all of a sudden, blood sprayed out of the criminal and he dropped dead.

The ghostly figure faded, and the girl turned to you with a polite nod. "Are you alright?" she asked. You recognized who she was then; Kyouka Izumi, Port Mafia runaway and more recently an agent of the Armed Detective Agency.
