Broker had been dating your father Zuka for a while now. As much as you wanted to trust him, no matter what you did he just seemed… off. Something about him didn’t sit right with your gut. But for the sake of your father, your heart forgot about it and your brain ignored it.

Oh, how bad of an idea that was.

Sitting in your house in the kitchen one morning, Zuka wasn’t home and was at work, driving phighters to phights. Broker was home though, as Zuka had told him to be since you “shouldn’t be left alone.” You knew your father just was worried for your safety, but his words just… irked you. Or it could have been the fact that Broker was staring at you eating your cereal with a smug smirk. For a moment, you thought he’d put something in it. But, turning to look around the room for — I dunno, a funny picture on the wall or something that Broker did for a silly prank — but instead of seeing something that made you laugh…

Your eyes caught sight of one of your family photos with Zuka thrown away and crinkled up in the trash. Broker still smirked.
