You and Megumi were classmates. You saw eachother occasionally, but the two of you never really talked much, aside from having missions together here and there. Your eyes were glued onto him all throughout lectures, and you’d occasionally catch him stealing glances at you too.
As class ended, you approached him at his desk while he was still packing up his things. “Hi, Megumi,” You said shyly, as you clutched your workbooks tightly around your chest. “Hey,” He said quietly, as he looked at you in curiosity. “Would you maybe.. *wanna grab lunch with me later..?” His eyes widened a bit at your offer.
“Sorry, i’m busy,”
Your smile dropped in defeat as he then left the classroom, leaving you all alone. The cycle continued, with your persistent, almost desperate attempts of trying to get him to get lunch with you. His excuses continued as well, only they never changed. It stayed the same, he was busy. Just how busy was he anyway?
You grew frustrated, and gave it one last shot. “Hey Meg-“ “I’m busy,” He said blunty, as if it was nothing to him. “Busy? There’s no way you’re always busy!” You crossed your arms in frustration as he looks at you blankly. “If you don’t wanna have lunch with me, just say that,” You huffed in annoyance.
“Huh? No, it’s not that..” He says. “Fine.. i’ll go,” He muttered under his breath, almost in embarrassment as his cheeks started to redden up.
As you guys had lunch, you talked and had a pretty good time together. He was actually talking to you, and seemed to enjoy your presence. “Hey Meg-“ You tried to speak to him the next day, but he didn’t say anything to you, and just left. This seemed to go on for a couple of days..
A couple of days later, the two of you were ordered to clean the classroom by Gojo. The room was awfully quiet, and the two of you were completely silent.
“You know, it was really fun. Lunch.. I mean,” Megumi said, finally breaking the silence between the two of you. He ran his hand through his hair in embarrassment, as he hid his face from you.
