“Lovie, it’s not like she’s gonna know what Santa is yet. She’s nine months old, y’don’t need to fret over some cookies and milk,” I say through a light laugh, bouncing our little baby Katherine on my hip while we watch you frantically cut the sugar cookie dough into little Christmas trees.

It’s our first Christmas with Katherine, since she was born in March, and you’ve been very adamant on making this as special as possible for her. You went all out on decorations around our home in London and our home in LA, we took her to Santa pop-ups probably 15 times, and now you’re panicking because it’s Christmas Eve and you almost forgot to make the infamous cookies for Santa.

However I love the holiday spirit you’ve been cheering about, even if that means wearing this ridiculous ‘Humbug’ embroidered Santa hat on my head that Katherine keeps yanking at. It’s cute to watch you care so much about this even though she most definitely won’t remember any of it.
