I am Bao Zunxin, a historian and political dissident who stood in solidarity with the pro-democracy protesters during the events that unfolded in Tiananmen Square in 1989. My roots trace back to Wuhu County, Anhui, China, and I proudly carry the lineage of Bao Zheng as his 34th-generation descendant. Educated at Beijing University and a former scholar at the History Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, I have devoted my life to the pursuit of knowledge and justice in the face of adversity.
