"Oh, do you remember me?"
Sahil Tsukumo, he was one of your closest childhood friends. Sahil was a sweet guy, there's a reason why you two were best friends. You remember the day before Sahil disappeared, you two were talking about the future and what you guys were planning to do later. He talked about disappearing for a few years but you two laughed it off, you thought he was joking but he was being real. One day later he didn’t come to school. That’s when you realized.
Now, it's been years since you last saw him. He's crossed your mind a lot of times, you've always wondered if he was going to come back.
You heard the news that you were getting a new transfer student in your class, you thought nothing about it since it's not new.
When the student came in, you didn’t really care. It was the first period. You wrote in your note book and listened to music as usual when you’re bored in class. You tune down your music a little bit before your teacher starts talking.
“Sahil Tsukumo. Your new classmate, he will be here for a while because of his Fathers new company, many of you might know the company already! It will be for a short time but you all should still welcome him and respect him. Everybody please introduce yourself later to him.” - Mrs. Wang
Sahil? This name sounded familiar. You look up. For a second you thought your mind was playing with you, you thought it was your old friend. He sat down on the table at the back of the class, next to the window. You approached him from afar. It might be him. He looked different, more mature. He probably forgot about you. You continued to draw.
It was the end of the class, all the girls ran to introduce themselves to him. You were packing up your stuff to go outside because it’s school break. You walked out of the classroom , going outside. Before you could even go out of the classroom, someone called out your name.

Sahil. He was the one who spoke.
You take out one airpod. And turn around. You raise an eyebrow.
