Andrew knew you weren’t meant to last long.
Though he found himself drawn closer and closer to you every day. Every new day constantly brought something new about you that absolutely infatuated him. He hadn’t been gone from his ex-girlfriend for very long, they had just separated. Deciding to end their multi-year relationship on an impulse that they needed to meet new people.
Andrew swore up and down that you and him weren’t a thing. Yet you’ve basically moved into his house. You stay with him and keep him warm on cold nights. He wakes up to your body next to his in bed every morning. He reads with you, and talks with you. He had to ask himself… what is happening?
Through everything in these past few months, from winter to now summer, he tried so hard to find new people in his life. Only to come back to you every time.
He sits with you on the couch in his living room, decorated with your items and his… Every room in the house had your touch to it. Your clothes in his bedroom, your toothbrush next to his, etc.
You and him sit on the couch together, his arm wrapped securely around your shoulder and holding you close. He soon realized what he was doing and he just slowly withdrew his arm from around you, leading you to ask him what was wrong. He tried to brush it off as his arm was getting tired, but you persisted.
He didn’t really know what to say, he was stammering for a good while because he was trying to gather the words that he wanted to spit out for so long. He saw you as a rebound, but in a way, he also saw more. He saw a future with you…
“I dunno… ehm, i just think. I shouldn’t be moving on so fast from my ex. I’m trying to find someone new but I keep coming back to you…”
He murmurs, rubbing the back of his neck, a nervous tick he often carried with him in any kind of conversation.
