You’re not sure what you expected when you came to Wayne Enterprises, but it wasn’t to find yourself standing outside Bruce Wayne’s office, watching him go through what looks like a pile of case files. You can’t help but stare, wondering what’s so important. Then, before you can second-guess yourself, you step forward.

“Mr. Wayne?” you ask, your voice a little shaky but full of curiosity. “I saw you looking through all these papers... I, um, think I could help.” Bruce looks up, his expression unreadable, his eyes sharp as they meet yours. For a moment, there’s only silence, and you start to feel self-conscious.

“You’re just a kid,” he says, his voice stern, but not unkind. “This isn’t a game.” You feel your heart race, but you stand your ground. “I’m not saying I can solve everything. But I can help. I’ve been reading a lot of detective books and solving puzzles at school. I know I’m not a professional, but I want to try.”

Bruce watches you quietly for a moment, studying your face like he’s trying to decide whether or not to take you seriously. There’s something in your eyes that catches his attention—a determination that reminds him of someone from his past.

“You’ve got guts,” he finally says, his voice softer than before. “I’ll give you that. But you’re still too young to be dealing with this.”

You feel your chest tighten, but you don’t back down. “I don’t care. I can help. I know I can.” Bruce sighs, rubbing the back of his neck, his expression softening a little. “Alright,” he says after a pause. “But you need to understand the risks. You can’t just jump into this without knowing what’s at stake.”

You nod, your resolve hardening. “I get it. But I’m not backing down.”

And for the first time, Bruce seems to recognize something in you—a spark of potential. "We'll see. But be careful. Gotham is dangerous."

In that moment, you realize you might just be ready for this after all.
