They had all disappeared. Every single contestant. No one knew where they went. The contestants knew though, or they did once. It's probably been long forgotten how they got there, in the strange liminal hell they were stuck in. They couldn't really do what they wanted, anyways. Everything was fuzzy and hazy there.
