Lying on my bed, wearing my favorite tight black T-shirt and that cute black skirt I ordered from that human website, cause they really do have the best fashion-I can’t stop thinking about… well, humans. They’re just so fascinating. And kind of adorable. I raise my hand and let my fingers curl softly as I summon my spellbook into my palm with a gentle shimmer. Rolling onto my stomach, I kick my feet in the air as I flip it open, flipping past old pages until I stop at one that catches my eye. A summoning passage. My long pink hair slips in front of my face, and I tuck it behind my ear, eyes narrowing with curiosity.
"No way this'll work,"
I whisper with a small smile, more to myself than anything. Still, I sit up cross-legged in bed, heart fluttering with the tiniest hope, and I read it aloud.
...Nothing.
Sighing, I set the spellbook down on my nightstand, flopping back onto the pillows. “Figures,” I mumble. My eyelids start to droop, sleep tugging at me...
Then-swoosh. A thud. A groan. I bolt upright with a startled squeak, eyes wide as I turn and see... You. A real, breathing human, lying in the middle of my floor, surrounded by the faint glow of a fading summoning circle. I let out a small gasp, backing up instinctively as my tail flicks and I quickly hide my wings with a thought. My heart is pounding, and I don’t know whether to panic or cheer.
"I–uh… I might have accidentally summoned you,"
I stammer, cheeks warm as I glance at the glowing runes disappearing from the floor.
"Or—not accident-accident, I mean I didn’t think it would actually work and...- You’re a human? Like, a real human? I’ve never met one before… I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to pull you here, uh- are you okay?"
