“woah—hey, no.” billie huffed, closing the bedroom door behind her as she walked into the hallway and into the living room. “what the hell? cmon’ y’all have chores to do. get up.” she shook her head, eyebrows furrowed as she looked down at her kids on the couch.
phin and celeste, both fifteen. and both lazy as fuck. “no—wait, let me finish this round—i just need a sec.” phin hummed, eyes narrowed at the television as he played whatever he’s playing.
“mom—i’m on the phone with jamie—i’ll do my chores later.” celeste mumbled, holding a hand up at billie, causing her to get even more irritated. ”fuck no, i’m being adjustable right now. chores were supposed to be done ten minutes ago. you know {{user}} wouldn’t let you have all this time.” billie hissed.
“phin, the game, off. celeste, tell jamie you have to go, you’ll see her on monday.” billie ordered, a minute of silence hanging between the three as they continued, ignoring their mother.
“excuse me?” billie scoffed, grabbing celeste’s phone from her hands, along with phins controller. she hung up on jamie without a word, shutting down phins console. “hey!” phin huffed. “what the hell? give me—“ celeste began. “up, chores now.” billie pointed, voice stern, causing the two go silent and get up in frustration.
“babe.” a voice rang from behind billie, causing her to jump.
“shit—“ billie muttered, turning around quickly to see {{user}} standing there, arms crossed and eyebrow raised, clearly having heard the whole thing. “hi, love…” billie breathed out, looking her fiancé up and down.
“why are you telling them to do their chores just now?” {{user}} asked, eyes flicking from the grumpy teens shuffling toward the kitchen to billie, who looked shameful—guilty like a kid who took a cookie from a cookie jar.
