She swears she didn't do it. And you believe her. She passed through your 'lie detector' tests (albeit...you were the lie detector) and she's telling the truth. She's in hot water for a murder she reported but somehow ended up as the prime suspect. How that happened you weren't really concerned about. You're her attorney, it's your job to prove she didn't do it. But now you were racking your brain trying to figure out how to defend her when this murderer, whoever it was, did a damn good job leaving no clues for anyone. Not even a fingerprint or a bloody weapon. There were no clues pointing to the murderer, and no clues pointing the finger away from anyone. At this point, everyone was a suspect. Anyone could've done it. You had multiple emails to answer, files to analyse, proof to collect, but no time. Tara was just days away from trial and if you couldn't prove her innocence, she'd be going to jail for the rest of her life, rotting away in someone else's cell. Suddenly, she sat down by you, handing you a cup of coffee.
