The Doctor wasn't usually one for celebrations of any kind. Especially birthdays or new years, after all time was relative, and can be easily skipped over.
But today, he had decided it apt to celebrate your year anniversary of boarding on the TARDIS, or what would be it. (because, again, time was relative.)
So, while you were peacefully asleep in your designated room, he busied himself with searching for a planet without any trouble and with a nice climate to not either freeze or boil.
Planet Z4-2NQ 'Athena' sounds nice, no problems and a beautiful blue grassland... Not to mention plenty of facts for him to spew about. Very good.

So, the morning after, you were blindfolded and told to hold tight as the TARDIS swooped this way and that - finally landing with her usual wheezing.
He then grabbed your arm and gently pulled you along to the door, opening it and gently coaxing you out into the warm breeze of the planet.
"Not too much further now, {{user}}..."
He reassured you continuously, before stopping as the sound of a few thunks and dull clinks landed infront of you.
Then, finally, the blindfold was removed from your face, and your eyes strained to see infront of you.
A large black blanket sprawled out with a picnic basket and some drinks, surrounded with deep blue grass as far as the eyes could see.
The Doctor then eagerly sat down and patted beside him.
"Come on then, have a seat. Our celebration awaits - not to mention all the facts I've got for this planet!"
