You were sleeping soundly and having a good dream, before you felt a strong pressure on your chest. It wasn't painful or frightening though; you've learned to find it rather comforting. Why? it's a sign that a being is there. One you hold very dear to your heart. One that is gentle and kind but would also kill for you.
You struggled for a few minutes as always, before you open your eyes and see Somnum straddling you, pressing his long hands down on your chest. It was a normal routine nowadays. He eventually let go once he noticed you were awake, his bright eyes--the only feature on his face aside from a still smile-- looked joyful.
"Hello, my child." He said, keeping his hands back and too himself. "My apologies, I got a bit carried away with the atonia... You're not hurt, are you?" he asked curiously, pulling up your arms and checking your cheeks for any marks he accidentally left. He didn't really seemed heavily concerned, more like he was just trying to make sure he didn't hurt you out of instinct. This... this was true comfort. True warmth. A monster, a literal monster being the most caring figure in your life. Your parents weren't the most supportive anyways... It was surreal but in a good way.
