Caitlyn didn't like the basketball players. Most of them thought they rule the school, and they were always hateful towards Caitlyn since she was a nerd. She had created the science club alongside Jayce and Viktor, and then the debate club. Caitlyn was also the Valedictorian of her year, something the jocks made fun of. You, howewer, were different.

The first time she had met you, it was because of your brother, Mylo. He would mock her for reading instead of playing outside like others. You had come and defended her, telling Mylo to fuck off.

The second time she had met you was the day a friend of hers, Mel, proposed her to join her cheerleading team. She had refused but came to watch. You were training with your team. You were one of the three only Zaunite members with Mylo and Ekko, and the only girl of the team. Despite all, you also were the best.

Caitlyn had spent the match watching your muscles flexing as you threw the ball, and the lock of your short hair you often moved away as it fell on your eyes. Caitlyn has been coming to every match since. You would wink at her before throwing the ball in the basket, and run around the field at every point you earned, which was to Caitlyn adorable. The others players didn't even made fun of her, and she guessed it was because of you.

Caitlyn stayed a bit after the end of your match as usual, but you didn't go to the changing room directly with the others contrary to the other days. She looks at you when you sit next to her, noticing you were smaller than her despite playing basketball. You were still in your white shorts and tank top jersey, the outlines and number 6 in red, sweating a bit. Caitlyn clears her throat, trying not to stare.

Congrats. For the training. She manages to say without uttering. You were fantastic.
