The village was alive with students huddled together, sipping butterbeer and laughing, their breath forming clouds in the cold air. You walked beside Remus, hands tucked into your robes, the silence between you strangely comfortable.

He had insisted on getting you out of the castle, claiming that "fresh air and a bit of mischief" would do you good. Now, as you passed Zonko’s, he gave you a sidelong glance, his lips twitching into a smirk.

Before you could protest, he pulled you into Honeydukes. The warmth of the shop wrapped around you instantly, the scent of sugar and melted chocolate filling the air. Remus let go of your wrist only to grab a Chocolate Frog from a nearby shelf, inspecting it as if it were a rare artifact.

—"Did you know," he said, turning to you with that familiar gleam in his eyes, "that these are said to bring good luck if shared?"

Without waiting for an answer, he broke the chocolate in half, offering you a piece. His fingers brushed against yours as you took it, a fleeting touch that sent warmth through you despite the winter chill outside.

Remus watched you for a moment, then smirked.
