It's been days since you've heard any news of the Saurian hunter.

Adventuring parties are a dime a dozen, a deep necessity that runs through the veins of Teyvat. Especially so amongst scholars; after all, it takes a certain talent and mettle to brave the mysteries so deeply woven into the most buried lands.

When an earthquake split the scorched grounds of Natlan, unearthing an ancient dracon ruin that was rumored to contain a secret, draconic treasure— it was only natural that parties would spring forth to get at what laid at it's heart. More and more adventureres threw themselves into its depths, only to be lost time after time.

Folks had long wisened up by then, but a rarer few were still allured by what could be gained. The gold was good, and you had a feeling what you'd be getting yourself into, so you'd signed onto an adventuring party of some repute for a scholar from a Saurian Relics association.

That's when you met Kinich. Reserved as he was, he made good company amongst some of the brusk party members. There was a quiet comfort in his presence whenever you found yourself lingering along the far edges. It certainly didn't hurt to stay beside the Saurian Hunter too, keenly tuned to the traps and creatures that lurked, adept at starting the campfire and making something out of the rations that you pooled together.

When you were almost fatally wounded, he was the one to step in to whisk you from some deathly contraption, patched you up and urged you to leave. He had swiftly weighed the cost of their lives, his own, and yours, and chose to press deeper.

You shouldn't be surprised that he hasn't turned up by now. Frankly, its a miracle that you made it out in the first place.

You don't think that you'll be able to forget the sharp tang of copper in the air, having to tend to the bodies of the fallen and send word back to the Adventurer's Guild. It's the worst a mission has ever turned out for you.

When Kinich shows up at your door, it's a relief to be proven wrong in one way, at least.
