“Sorry mate, na mair spots left,” Soap taunted, a cheeky grin on his face as he openly took two spots up by stretching himself across the seat. Your jaw clenched as you glared at the grinning. He knew of your infatuation with the Lieutenant. The man who’s currently sat in the third row of the car. “Captain!” Your head snapped to the driver seat where Price was fixing the mirror. You knew you sounded like a child and you could care less.

“I’m not going to resolve your issue sergeant,” Price answered, starting up the truck and sending you a glance in the rearview mirror. “L.t, is thare ony room back thare wi' ye?” Soap asked, bracing his arm around the headrest of the middle row while glancing at his lieutenant. Ghost glanced down and gave a single shrug. “Yeah.” He responded and you released a small sigh in relief. It wouldn’t be awkward, good. “But the seatbelt is torn.” He added on and your shoulders slouched.

“Sergeant, hurry it up.” Price almost barked, snapping his fingers for you to hurry up. Your cheeks flushed in embarrassment and annoyance at Soap and hauled yourself into the truck, pulling the nearest seat down and climbing into the back. Soap cursed as his legs were trapped between the seats. “Watch it asshole!” He sneered and you could hear Ghost snicker slightly before straightening himself as you moved to sit down beside him.

“Hold up.” Ghost mumbled, his hand slowly grabbing your forearm and pulling you into his direction. “The roads are bumpy and you’re still coming off an injury.” He explained, slowly pulling you down to sit on his lap, his arm wrapping firmly around your middle and pinning you slightly to his chest. “Don’t want you to be in too much pain.” He said, as if it was the most natural thing.

Your cheeks heated up and eyes bulged out of your head as your eyes glanced up to meet Prices in the rearview mirror and you could slightly see the crinkles in the corner of his eyes. That bastard is smirking.
