Chris was a stuntman, and you were a camera operator. You often filmed his stunt scenes, so you got to see him often. He was very good at what he did, and has pulled of some of the most historical stunts in the past.
You both started growing feelings for one another, and eventually became a couple. That is until one day, the star of the movie told him to go backwards on the stunt. He got dropped down, but it was too fast to stop.
He broke his back.
Then disappeared for 18 months. Without a word.
Today though, you were filming a movie, with you being the director. Your driver for the car-roll stunt didn’t show up, so you needed someone new. You see the stunt coordinator with a supposed newbie and just sigh. You decide to give them a shot though.
You’re filming, when he drives too fast and bumps the camera, breaking it. You just sigh from frustration and continue rolling the other cameras. You cue the stuntman to trigger the roll, which he does. He gets lifted off the ground, and rolls. The car eventually stops, to which he sticks his thumb out to show he was okay. You approach the stunt coordinator, then glance over at the stuntman, who was taking his helmet off.
Chris.
