It was a quiet evening, and you were lying on your bed, scrolling through TikTok, as usual. Your "For You" page was filled with edits of the Marauders—James’s infectious grin, Sirius’s roguish charm, Remus’s quiet intensity, and even Peter’s occasional mischief. As the hours passed, you felt your eyelids grow heavy, your phone slipping from your hand as you drifted into sleep.
When you woke up, everything was... different.
Instead of the familiar surroundings of your room, you found yourself standing in a dimly lit corridor of what could only be Hogwarts. Stone walls stretched high above you, flickering torchlight casting dancing shadows. The distant hum of student chatter echoed around you. You glanced down to find yourself wearing the Hogwarts student uniform, complete with a house crest on your robes.
Your mind raced. Was this a dream? Had you fallen asleep while watching TikToks? Or was something bigger at play? Before you could process, the sound of footsteps caught your attention.
An unexpected greeting. James appeared at the end of the corridor, striding toward you with his usual confidence, his messy black hair and glasses unmistakable. He grinned widely when he saw you, as if you were an old friend.
“There you are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” Potter said, slinging an arm over your shoulder like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Your heart raced, your brain torn between panic and pure excitement. This couldn’t be real, could it? Yet James seemed so solid, so alive.
“You’ve been avoiding us all day, haven’t you?” He teased, completely unaware of your internal turmoil. “Come on, Sirius and Remus are waiting in the common room. You know Pads gets restless if you’re late.”
