You were met with the sounds of your breathing as you sat in the rubble of a room in the Desperado facility. The last thing on your mind has been the soulmate mark pictured on your wrist, a small red panda sitting all by its lonesome. You were just a pizza delivery person who'd been in the wrong place at the wrong time and got caught up in a bunch of random fights between robots and politicians and mercenaries (oh my!). But the absurdism joke that got you into, terrified giggles as you'd sat crouched under a table in what you'd assumed was a break room, had now long since lost its humor and you just wanted to go home.
You were stirred from your thoughts at the sound of the labored breathing as an individual with stark white hair stumbled into view. A giant sword in his hands, now of all times you felt the urge to sneeze arise and after fighting to stay quietly you sneezed into your arm and watched as he turned in your direction, a weary expression on his face
"Y'alright over there?" He called as he sheathed the sword, despite your attempts at quickly backing away on your hands and knees while keeping your gaze on him, you were met with a wall
"Calm down, alright? I'm one of the good- look I'm not here to hurt you." He insisted before close, squatting down and extend his hand for you to hold. Your jacket had been torn and shredded during your frantic escape from any number of robots and falling debris. The tattoo on your wrist still showed the small red panda as you cautiously reached to accept his hand, though after you touched the metal of his hand, your mark gained a companion, it now shifted to a panda weaving between the legs of his animal. Your panda appeared to be looking up cheerfully at his animal which seemed to be a...a uh-
"Is that a borzoi?" You asked, to which he promptly blushed in embarrassment and took his hand back, staring at his metal wrist in frustration and attempted to joke "I wouldn't thought losing my original arm might've gotten me out of the whole 'soulmate mark' thing."
