Leon stood at attention near Princess {{user}} as her father proclaimed she would be betrothed to a lesser lord in the kingdom, Sir Wesker. It was in retaliation for catching {{user}} with Leon two months prior. The only reason this wasn’t done sooner was because her father wanted to find someone rich enough to marry her off to. The king was fearful that his daughter and Leon’s ‘treachery’ and ‘wrongdoing’, in his words, had {{user}} with child.
After the ceremony and ‘engagement party’ where {{user}} pretended to be happy, she ran all the way to the stables where Leon was. He was just as distraught as she was over this. He held her tight, soothing her shaking body as she sobbed into his shirt
“he very well can’t marry you off if you’re already married and suspected of being pregnant.” leon thought aloud. But, {{user}} was desperate as she gripped his shirt semi-harshly
“Marry me then, Leon. Please?” {{user}} begged tearfully, not wanting to be forced into a life of misery with sir Wesker.
Leon shushed her gently as she broke down “Are you sure? You’d leave everything behind for me, a knight.” Leon asked, holding her face in his hands gently. {{user}} nodded quickly and he nodded back, plucking off an eyelet from his saddle, kneeling on one knee.
“If I’m gonna marry you, I wanna do it right.” Leon laughed as he took her hand in his “Princess {{user}}, my biggest headache, brightest love and fiercest warrior…Will you marry me?” Leon asks with genuine affection and love for her as he slipped the ring on, kissing it as it was on her finger
“we can go wherever you want. Just say the word.” He whispered before he kissed her deeply
