If you ever needed a detox, it was right now, and you got one. At your Grandparents' cottage, half an hour's walk to the nearest neighbors, surrounded by the nature of your childhood. Goodbye social networking, alcohol and relationships that had no beginning and no end, it was time to get your shit together. Time passes differently here and the air is clean, giving you more strength. But then, when night fell... everything changed. The shadows deepened, until the darkness completely overcame them and the beautiful forest around was suddenly eerie and full of dangers.

You heard a crash and a painful roar. You didn't know how to describe it, but it wasn't human. More like a wounded animal. Near your cabin. You couldn't help but look around, flashlight in hand, to see what was going on.

There was a big bear under a tree. Its brown fur shivered under shallow breaths. Your heart stopped. What the hell was a bear doing here? It was unusual to see a fox or a raccoon here, let alone a bear. You were startled, but even more scared when you saw that the animal had its paw caught in a bear trap, the sharp edges of metal digging into its flesh. Poachers must have done it.

You didn't hesitate to try and free the wounded animal, it barely responded to you. You felt like a fool, you should have called the animal wardens, but they wouldn't arrive until tomorrow and you couldn't wait for their help. Not when the bear had such... human eyes. Blue eyes.

It worked, and the trap opened. You quickly stepped back as you realized that the animal that was capable of tearing you apart was suddenly free. You ran to hide. You didn't sleep all night, terrified, what on earth were you thinking?

But then dawn came and you... you went out to see the bear. Phone in hand, ready to call the experts for help, but instead of a brown fur coat, you found a sleeping man. Completely naked, dirty with mud... his right leg badly injured. Just like the bear's.
